What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is the approach to health which seeks to identify and understand the causes of each client’s ill-health and then helps to address these naturally by providing the body with the conditions which it needs to heal itself.
Consider this common scenario:
When we have a leak coming through the ceiling and we just mop up the puddle in the middle of the floor, what happens? The leak keeps coming, and we get increasingly frustrated and worried that it will not improve and may even worsen.
But, when we step back for a moment, take the time to think clearly, visit the flat upstairs for example, and get the source of the leak fixed, the leak stops for good.
So goes the approach to healing our body.
When we plough through our busy days taking ‘quick fixes’ to temporarily relieve our signs and symptoms, such as sugar for low energy or paracetamol for a headache – to ‘mop up the puddle’ – we are not addressing – and are even ignoring – the causes of these signs and symptoms – the ‘source of the leak’. This exacerbates our signs and symptoms, we develop additional health issues, even become diagnosed with a particular condition or disease, and we feel progressively worse – ‘the leak keeps on coming’. The key is to identify and address why they developed in the first place – ‘to fix the leak’.
As a registered Nutritional Therapist, I will help you to take that much needed step back, to set you on the path to deep healing and vibrant wellness.
